OVW: Cornette fired by WWE for slapping incident

PWInsider.Com is reporting that Jim Cornette has been dismissed from his position as head trainer at Ohio Valley Wrestling over the incident this past Wednesday where Cornette slapped an OVW trainee several times after the student, sitting in the audience, laughed instead of acting scared of OVW Talent The Boogyman.

I know i'm showing my age, but this whole incident reminds me of when OSU's Woody Hayes socked one of his football players in the face after blowing a play in a Bowl game; Hayes was gone the next day, fired after 20+ years as OSU coach.
